Thursday, August 16 – RMSLA Virtual Lunch: Sue Cronizer, Making a Difference in Your Organization

<< Page updated 8/20/2012 and 9/19/2012>>

RMSLA welcomed Sue Cronizer for a Virtual Lunch session on how information professionals can become active and visible participants in their organizations. Participants learned to see their unit as a business within a business, to expand their impact within a strategic framework, and to be recognized for their essential contributions.

Sue says, “Relevancy is the name of the game. It doesn’t matter where you work – corporate, public, or academic – it’s imperative that you stay nimble and consistently stay relevant with your constituency. You need to treat your users as if they were paying customers deploying the same techniques that companies do to sell their products. In this session, you will learn how to use the traditional tools and techniques – strategic planning, market sensing, branding, and others – to stay relevant in your dynamic environment.”

The program was hosted via SLA’s unit GoToWebinar account.
